Here in Crater we believe sometimes maybe some 'mon would like to just be your friend and might not need to be battled. But be careful, some 'mon tend to be naughty and will steal your treats.
Befriending With Items
Befriending uses up a consumable item in an attempt to win the 'mon's favor via items such as
Baker's Poffins - This poffin is fresh and warm and are a treat for wild mon!
Trainers can use these to try and BEFRIEND a 'mon.
These treats have a 80%chance to work in a trainer's favor.
Sometimes you might be allowed to investigate a pokemon which is determined by a 50/50 coin flip. These are a very specific venture.
Second Chances
Sometimes the technology with crater balls or even ultimate balls might fail on that mon you REALLY had your heart on. We understand that and that's why Crater has a Second Chance system! Submissions of ART or WRITTEN works
These have a WEEK maximum deadline from your 1st encounter
They MUST include
A FULL body of the 'mon trying to catch
A FULL body of one of YOUR 'mon interacting with it OR a full body of your trainer.
80% chance
Refined sketch + color + simple bg
OR 500 words
90% chance
Lines + flats + simple bg
OR 1000 words
100% chance
Lines + shading + complex bg
OR 2000 words
