Human: Generic Human with little to no physical alterations
Traditional humans are limited when it comes to stamina, strength, speed, etc. Your human can not swim underwater for an hour without a scuba mask and tank or a Pokemon to provide them with air, and while Humans can achieve some impressive physical feats, the majority of them are not Olympian Athletes. So when in public rps, keep your trainer's actions and abilities within reason according to their species.
On the other hand, remember that while Humans may not seem to have a lot of special strengths and abilities, they are highly adaptable. Not only can they dye their hair, falsify their eye color, build ships that fly through the skies, master hoverbike riding, swim the reefs of Crater Lake, and more, but they can also form extremely powerful bonds with their Pokemon whether they can speak their language or not. Humans can handle sub-zero temperatures atop the highest mountains, and two hours later enjoy mid-80 degree weather on the beach, just with a change of clothes! Other species are not nearly so flexible.
In Crater City, humans are a majority, and not all of them are friendly, unfortunately. As a human, you will be able to avoid many conflicts that other species can't due to their appearance and non-human nature. However, this can change once you venture deep enough into Crater's Exploration Zones, so keep your wits about you, and be careful: you never know who, or what, may be watching....
Special Abilities:
Humans can work well with any typing of Pokemon out there! While Humans can be affected by Pokemon abilities, they have a higher tolerance for these effects and can shake off influences faster than other species.
Humans rarely face problems when buying from shops or performing other activities in Crater. Other races, like Altered Humans, may occasionally encounter biased treatment from some humans.
They can have Psychic abilities that allow them to communicate with Pokemon in ways that look like or sound like actual human speech, and sometimes Pokemon have special abilities of their own for communicating! These abilities must abide by the following rules:
- The Pokemon is psychic
- It's a Legendary Pokemon talking
- There's a valid backstory/history to explain it
- The Pokemon has been altered by Eden Labs to be specifically given the ability to talk
- this option is only for NPCs agreed to in advance with admin authority.
- Your trainer is sensitive, psychic, etc. If this is the case, watch your step with power playing in the public rps. Don't step on someone else's toes, and don't talk to other people's Pokemon without asking the player first. If someone is rping the challenge of communicating with their Pokemon, don't step in and translate without asking. If the rpers you're with habitually treat their Pokemon more like animals and less sentient than people, make sure you respect this.
- When you're communicating psychically and your Pokemon are responding, use bold font exclusively. This will be noted as the official format for Pokemon voices and telepathic dialogue in all main channels.
- A device may be purchased from Eden Labs (COMING SOON)
Origin rules:
Humans can come from anywhere in the world, as well as Crater itself! If your Human is from Crater, they can be from Crater City or from villages or other towns scattered throughout Crater Region.
As these locations are not yet detailed or playable, please do not get too detailed in describing any specifics about your human's origin. Crater has an ongoing storyline that will include many of its own canon details regarding this, so try to avoid specific details that could be conflicted with later on down the line.
