Crater Trainers: Altered Humans

Altered humans are otherwise normal human beings who have been born in a part of Crater where Type-Ore runs close to the surface. - This can be any number of unnamed towns that are dotted throughout the mountains. These are not currently accessible/playable locations, but will be eventually.

(This is for Crater region's lore, since it's the region that has produced the strange phenomenon. Your OC can have been raised in another location, Cannon Pokemon Regions, Made up, etc.)

They have been “altered” by the powerful influence of Type Ore to develop some Pokemon-like features. These features can be obvious, subtle, but have a limited range in what features can appear.

The following are features a human can have that resemble Pokemon features:

  • Ears

  • Eyes

  • Hair color

  • Hair that slightly resembles fur

  • Skin color and markings

  • Scales - big enough to be visible but not huge enough to be considered armor

  • Tails

  • Fins

  • Horns

  • Feathers

  • Small vestigial wings(not usable for flight)

  • Sharp teeth

  • Forked tongues (or similar)

  • Foot paws (paws or hooves instead of human toes)

  • Human fingers with claws

Here is a list of enhanced abilities Altered Humans can have:

  • Night vision

  • Powerful eyesight (can see distances beyond what normal humans can, like Legolas and his elf eyes)

  • Enhanced hearing

  • Enhanced sense of smell

  • Sensitivity to psychic forces (hearing or seeing ghosts, hearing Pokemon’s thoughts and being able to communicate with Pokemon, or similar)

  • Withstanding high temperatures (you can’t stand next to lava, though)

  • A high tolerance for electricity (you can’t conduct electricity in place of powerlines but you can tolerate shocks from electric Pokemon attacks up to a point. You can’t shrug off a large group of Pokemon shocking you or attacks from a Legendary, but you can comfortably tolerate an angry Pikachu or two.)

  • Withstanding cold temperatures (you can’t comfortably sleep at night in a snowbank in freezing weather, but you can handle close to 0 degrees before you have to put heavier clothes on.)

  • High tolerance for poisons/toxins (IF your trainer’s kindred Pokemon traits are Poison-typed. You are not immune to acids, and you can’t eat nightshade\, but you can shrug off some Poison Stings and Poison Powders before you start to feel ill.)

  • Tough skin (not tough enough to withstand a bullet or an axe blade, but a small cheap pocketknife will snap before it cuts you. This is for Fighting, Rock, and Steel types.)

Here is a list of features not allowed in canon, public, or event rps:

  • Elements naturally originating from the body - no flames on tails, no smoke or toxic gas leaking from the hair or skin, nothing similar

  • Pokemon abilities of any kind (literally any kind of Pokemon-like ability. Meaning strength enough to break rock bare handed, fly, phase through solid objects, breathe fire, levitate things, make plants grow, anything like that)

  • Extra limbs - extra arms, extra legs, anything similar

  • Actual plants, rock, metal, or other inhuman skin textures/non-natural, “impossible” body parts/growths growing on the skin, in the hair, etc.

  • Gills

  • The ability to breathe underwater

  • Holding breath underwater for longer than established human limits IRL

  • Glowing anywhere but the eyes or specific markings/hair/places on the body. An entire human body can’t be glowing. (If you need to ask if this is "ok" Please do so <3 )

  • Slime, ghost wispies, sludge, or any non-flesh body properties

  • Places where Type Ore runs close to the surface - This can be any number of unnamed towns that are dotted throughout the mountains. These are not currently accessible/playable locations, but will be eventually.
